Thick lines of dirt lined the numerous cracks in the road and sidewalks. Occasionally, specks in the dust were lit up by the final few lines of sunlight before they sunk behind the assortment of houses, leaving the lively street in a tenuous, pink-ish light that seemed almost fantastical in its hue.

The HeartIt pulsed irregularly as it pumped blood through vessels by rhythmic contractions. White pieces of fat covered the dark red flesh and the deep thudding of the organic pump echoed through the thorax as it forced life blood through arteries.The Heart
Perplexing in its incongruity, a delicate silver chain was wrapped ruthlessly around the organ. The tightness of the chain's grip was easily visible by the way the organ strained to maintain regular contractions. Eyes shut then open, and a ghostly smile cracks the dry, rough lip skin, bringing dull metallic blood to the surface, staining the withered skin with mottled, precious life blood. Draining
